Dementia Care Partner Support Group

A supportive space for those caring for someone with dementia.

Caring for someone with dementia or cognitive decline can feel lonely, overwhelming, and like you are riding an emotional roller coaster with ever-changing needs, roles, and relationships to navigate.

This support group is designed specifically for dementia care partners who are trying to navigate all these changes and looking for a place to be understood, supported, and held in community.

As a care partner, it’s important that you have a safe, welcoming space to openly discuss the questions, mixed emotions, and meaning that accompany this journey. Connecting with others and experts who understand the complexity of the journey can help you to discover comfort, validation, and steadiness in community with others who truly understand.

Meeting twice a month for a total of 6 sessions, March 18 – June 3, this support group is led by Lori Krause, End of Life, Grief and Dementia Doula and experienced facilitator. The group offers compassionate structure while honoring each person’s process and journey.

Join us as we explore the realities of dementia care— the moments of joy, the heartbreak, and everything in between, without pressure to have it all figured out.

What You Can Expect

This free support group offers everyone an opportunity to honor both the person you’re caring for and yourself. It provides:

  • A safe space to share openly—however it feels right
  • Guided conversation led by an experienced dementia care doula
  • Support navigating uncertainty, shifting roles, and anticipatory grief
  • Tools and reflections so you can stay grounded and resourced
  • Connection with other people who truly understand the journey

Whether you’re providing care and support for someone early in the dementia journey or further along, this group is here to support you as you learn, adapt, and care—one step at a time.
